"The cow line is the most important part of the herd — build the females, and the rest follows."
At Llandillo we believe a stud is only as good as its cow families. Every bull we breed and every heifer we sell traces back to a foundation female we've invested in and built around. These are the lines that anchor our herd.
Our foundation Corrisande line — and the family behind Llandillo Soldier S042, the best bull we've bred to date, who sold for $17,000 to Kyan Poll Herefords.
Brought in as a PTIC embryo from Tycolah, B40 became the foundation Corrisande cow at Llandillo. She left a remarkable legacy before leaving the herd — including being the dam of Llandillo Principality, a herd sire we used in our own breeding program.
A donor cow at Llandillo and one of my favourite cows on the farm.
N050's first calf, carrying the Corrisande line into its third generation at Llandillo.
Sold in our Out & About Dam Time sale to JTR Poll Herefords for $6,500.
A donor cow that has flushed well, with plenty of calves on the way. Dam of T113 and V213.
Sold to 5 Bears Beef for $9,000 — a strong result for the Corrisande line.
A young NJW Ridge daughter still at Llandillo — the next generation of the Corrisande line coming through. With N105 as her dam, she carries some of the best genetics in the family.
The family behind our best bull. The Corrisande line is also the cow family of Llandillo Soldier S042 — the best bull we've bred to date, who sold for $17,000 to Kyan Poll Herefords. View Soldier in our sires →
One of our most influential lines — the family behind Powershift, Sydney Champion Ready Ready, and a string of top-priced, show-winning females.
F189 was the Aster cow in the herd when Lee took over the management of Llandillo, and she has proved one of the most important females in the rebuild. Her line runs deep through the stud today.
She is the dam of our home-bred herd sire Llandillo Powershift, of Llandillo L083, and of Llandillo Aster N075 — two daughters who each carry the family forward in their own right.
A standout daughter of F189 and one of the most important producers in the family. Her progeny include:
Llandillo Ready Ready — Sydney Royal Grand Champion Bull 2022 and a walking sire at Llandillo. View in our sires →
Llandillo Steady Steady — sold at the Dubbo National in 2022.
Llandillo Bam — sold in 2025.
Llandillo L083 (daughter of F189) carries the Aster line through her daughter Llandillo P010 — a standout producer with 7 progeny to date. Between them, this branch has bred some of our best-selling and best-performing females.
Top price at Dubbo — $14,000 to Pinnacle Poll Herefords. Showed for them in 2024 as a first-calver, winning Grand Champion Female at both Canberra and Sydney Royal.
Sold for $6,000 in the About Dam Time sale, also to Pinnacle Poll Herefords.
Our lead show heifer for the upcoming heifer shows and Melbourne Royal.
A family bred to win — at home and away. The Aster line keeps performing in other people's herds, with S056 taking Grand Champion Female at both Canberra and Sydney Royal for her new owners. It's also produced a lead bull for our upcoming bull sale. See more client success →

From the traditional Llandillo herd — a big, roomy cow family producing donors, show winners, and a Grand Champion Female at Canberra Royal 2026.
A cow from the traditional Llandillo herd — a great big roomy female who has proved herself as one of the most important producers in the stud. D282 is the kind of cow you build a family around: deep, structured, and consistently passing her qualities to her daughters.
Her daughters include donor cows, show winners sold interstate, a Royal champion, and females now carrying the line into the next generation through their own progeny.
One of our favourite cows on the farm — a donor cow who breeds with remarkable consistency. L078 is the engine of the Silky line today, producing donors and key females in her own right. Her daughter Q065 has become a donor at Llandillo, and Q065's daughter T142 is shaping up as one of the best young cows in the herd.
The 100 Club heifer — won by Roseview Poll Herefords. V057 went on to be crowned Grand Champion Female at Canberra Royal 2026, a result that puts the Silky family firmly on the map at the highest level of the breed.
By L078 · PTIC recipient in About Dam Time sale · purchased by Pinnacle Poll Herefords, used over stud cows
A family from the heart of the Llandillo herd. The Silky line traces to the traditional foundation of the stud — producing donors, show winners, and now a Grand Champion Female at Canberra Royal 2026 in V057. With Pacemaker daughters coming through, the best of this family may still be ahead. See more client success →
A productive, versatile family producing show champions, stud bulls and foundation females for new operations — the Julie line has been one of the most consistent performers in the herd since Lee took over the program in 2016.
The Julie family starts with L086 — the cow that was here when Lee took over the Llandillo program in 2016 and one of the first females he identified as a key piece of the rebuild. She has produced daughters that have gone on to win at national level, sons that have sold into leading studs, and a family line now represented across multiple properties.
L086 herself is the dam of donor cow P034, foundation female U054, show cow S074, and Timber T049 — a spread that tells you everything about the depth of this family.
A Lancefield daughter out of L086 and one of the key donors in the Julie line. P034 has produced Grand Champion females and stud bulls — her daughter S024 sold to Pinnacle for $13,000 and went on to win the National Hereford Youth Show, while her son Undertaker U068 sold to Guy Cattle Co at Dubbo 2025.
Sold to Pinnacle Poll Herefords for $13,000 — and she wasted no time proving her worth. S024 was exhibited by Max White at the National Hereford Youth Show where she won Grand Champion Female. A Pacemaker daughter out of one of our best donor cows, she is now representing the Julie line in Andrew Quirk's herd at Pinnacle.
Sold at the About Dam Time Sale for $5,000 to Lani Lumsden — Lee's niece — to help start Lumsden Livestock at Morven NSW. A Ready Ready daughter out of L086, U054 is now one of the foundation females of a new operation built on Llandillo genetics. A fitting result for a family cow.
A Pacemaker daughter out of L086 shown at the National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show — where Will Van Gend won the fitting competition with her. S074 is now a producing cow at Llandillo and the dam of U082, who sold to Pinnacle Poll Herefords at the About Dam Time Sale.
A third-generation Julie female, sold to Pinnacle Poll Herefords at the About Dam Time Sale for $6,000. A JTR Royal daughter out of S074, she continues the connection between Llandillo and Pinnacle that has produced some outstanding results.
